Spicy Fish Fillets


























Ingredients:
200 gms Firm fish (De skinned and cut into bite pieces)
10 cloves of Garlic (peeled and chopped)
2 Onions (Finely sliced)
2 Tomatoes (Quartered)
4 Green chillies (slit)
3 strands of curry leaves
1 tbsp Tomato puree
1 tbsp Fish masala (Fish curry powder)
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Lime juice
1 tbsp oil
1/4 cup oil for deep frying
3 tbsp Corn flour
Salt to taste

Method:
  • Wash the fish fillets and pat dry with a kitchen paper towel. In a bowl combine the corn flour and a pinch of salt. Coat the fish fillets in the corn flour mixture, shake off the excess flour and keep aside on a plate.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan, fry the coated fish in hot oil till crispy. Drain and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok and add the garlic, onion, green chillies and curry leaves. Fry for 2 mins.
  • Then add the tomato puree, fish masala and tomatoes. Stir everything together, cover the wok and cook till the oil separates from the masala.
  • Then add the fried fish fillets, garam masala and lime juice. Stir fry for another 2 mins and switch off the stove.
  • Serve it hot with Roti/Naan.
