Beans Poriyal























Ingredients:
250 gms French beans
1 small onion (chopped)
3 Green chillies (Slit)
Few strands of Curry leaves
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Urad dhal
3 tbsp freshly grated coconut
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
Oil for seasoning
salt to taste

Method:
  • Wash the beans and cut into small pieces. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok, splutter the mustard and urad dhal then add the onion, chillies and curry leaves. Fry for few mins.
  • Then add the beans, turmeric powder and salt. Stir fry, add few tbsp of water, cover and cook until beans are tender.
  • Then add the grated coconut and stir well to combine.
  • Serve it hot with steaming rice and Brinjal puli kulambu.
